Sewing on Cards.......another Gina K Technique Challenge

Oh my goodness.........Gina K has created a monster! A sewing monster that is. I have wanted to have sewing on my cards for so long and my 1st attempt wasn't pretty so I've been reluctant to attempt it again. That is until I saw Gina K's tutorial on StampTV and I promised myself I'd attempt the challenge. I am too excited that I was finally able to figure out how to do the zig zag stitch!! DH doesn't exactly have the same amount of excitement that I do.......but he was suitably impressed.....*grin*. Hope you like my card......its for a chat box chick that's a little under the weather.

Another Angus the Argus Card!

This is my newest creation using the new digital stamp Angus the Argus..........isn't he just too cute! I found an image on the internet of a paratrooper and with my paint program and alot of luck I was able to get it the size I wanted!. NEW DIGITAL STAMPS!! Wohooooooooooooo!!

This is a card I made using the brand spankin' new digital stamp called Angus Argus. Isn't he just so cute! My BIL Rob is an amazing artist and he is doing a line of digital stamps that you'll be able to see HERE!
The sentiment continues on the inside ".......to say HI!" But I'm sure you could think of something funnier or even *ahem* naughtier to put in there! LOL Be sure to keep checking Sunshine's blog.........rumors are that a police car, more planes, farm equipment are coming soon!

Gina K Sketch Challenge

This was my entry to the Gina K stampTV sketch challenge last Thursday. It was also the Father's Day card I made for my daughter to give to my DH. The images were from a PIF exchange on SCS that I cut out individually after coloring with my Prisma markers. I did the "fly" on the tent twice and popped it up and put threads from it to the bottom of the tent to give the illusion of tent ropes. The sentiment is from a set I got from Artful Inkables. They have some lovely stamps! The paper is from SU. DH loved it.......we both hope to get some camping in this summer, but with vacation and other time conflicts it may be difficult to get more than a couple nights away. *sigh* Oh well..........2 nights camping is better than none!

Some Creations for Gina K StampTV challenges

Here are a couple cards I made this weekend for the Gina K challenges over at StampTV. My favorite is the blue one as I'm partial to blues and aqua's. I tried to work on them yesterday but couldn't seem to find my mojo until I got up this morning. I think my mojo goes into hiding when I work night shifts! LOL
I better get back at some more creating. I'm working nights again this week ( I switched from days to nights to help out with the staffing situation)........and we are dealing with a H1N1 flu outbreak here in Winnipeg and working in Emergency puts us directly in contact with ALOT of people.......some sick......and some not. *fingers crossed* that they don't end up cancelling our vacation time this summer.

DH I just got home from a wedding social which is a Manitoba tradition here before a wedding and we won a bar fridge and a $50 gift certificate to the local liquor store! I have no idea where we are going to put a bar fridge............but I do know its time to say goodnight and catch up with u all tomorrow! *hiccup*

I've Won some Blog Candy and a Card for my Dad

I've had an extremely lucky week with winning some awesome blog candy. First I won some great stuff from True and I got to pick my prize........I chose the one with the double sided ink daubers that I've been wanting to try since seeing them on her blog. Check her blog out for some amazing cards! I wanna make cards like that when I grow up........*rolls eyes at the thoughts of how old that would be.........70?* LOL
Then I won a $25 Gift Certificate from Impression-Obsession on Tina's blog. Wow.....I have no idea how I'm going to narrow my choices down to $25. Might have to dip into the emergency stamp fund to add a few extra's to my order! Tina has some beautiful creations on her blog, so make sure you go check it out.

I got my Father's Day Card done early this time *gasp*! I used a stamp I picked up on sale at M's and used the colors from a color challenge at StampTV using Kraft, Elegant Eggplant and the closest color I had to Baja Breeze. I really love that stamp!
